Jack Wright who has held the position until recently will be focusing on other personal commitments. Jack has done a fantastic job over the last 4 seasons showing great commitment, producing great media coverage as well as producing an award winning match day programme. Everyone at the football club would like to thank him for his time and effort. Jack will remain with us for the foreseeable future assisting with other football duties as well as sharing his knowledge and experience.
We would like to welcome Martin Fitzsimons who joins the football club as the new Assistant Manager. Martin is a B license coach with a wealth of experience having held coaching positions at Chester FC Ladies and Wigan Athletic FC respectively. A strong addition to the football club. Welcome Martin.
In other news we now seem to have some light at the end of the tunnel with the return of outdoor sports set for March 29th after yesterday’s Government announcement.
The FA have extended the grassroots season until the end of June in order to provide additional flexibility and time for leagues to complete their fixtures this season if they wish. This is extremely positive news for our u18s management and players who will be keen to be back playing and resuming their impressive season to date.
Unfortunately for our 1st team this does not apply to non-league Steps 3-6. We all expect the FA to issue the appropriate guidance and clarity on the return of non-elite football soon as well as communication from the NWCFL.
